A Mamo represents the maximum expression of wisdom. A pagamento (or payment) is a sacred offering to settle our debt with Mother Earth. Earth is consistently giving to us: feeding us, sheltering us. These payments balance our energy and heal blockages that are causing harm or disease in our lives And preventing us from full happiness and fulfillment. Pagamentos also provide spiritual food for nature as our consumption is naturally out of balance, therefore the mamos say it is important to give back to earth in order to maintain a harmonious relationship of reciprocity. Making payments have an enormous healing effect on us as individuals and on the collective planetary level.
